Lin has numerous years of experience spanning multiple areas in dispute resolution and litigation, including large commercial disputes, property litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, private client work, and criminal cases. Most notably, Lin specialises in tenancy disputes and represents Chinese landlords in possession proceedings.

Education Background:

Before joining Zhong Lun, Lin studied Mathematics at Imperial College London. He then completed his GDL and LPC/LLM at BPP Law School in London.

Lin is fluent in both Chinese Mandarin and English.

Lin has a wide range of professional experience. Lin previously worked in the banking sector at Barclays, he then started his law career at a boutique solicitor firm in London, eventually taking on the role of a Senior Associate.

Representative Cases:

Lin has advised on bankruptcy and insolvency matters such as representing liquidators on disclaiming lease and recovering deposit.

He has acted for multiple private clients in Hong Kong in the High Court cross-border bankruptcy procedures in England, and Mainland China in bankruptcy and insolvency matters.

Lin has a plethora of experience in property litigation including advising breach of contract in land development disputes valuing over £1 million in the High Court, advising commercial and residential real estate matters, such as landlord tenant disputes, repair, repossession claims and rent repayment order disputes.

Lin is also an experienced litigator in criminal and tortious cases, such as misrepresentation, deceit claims, as well as representing clients at police stations, local authorities, and criminal courts.
